BARSTOW – The California Department of Public Health has lifted the Do Not Drink Water Advisory for all customers in the Barstow water system, excluding the Veterans Home of Barstow. This is based on data that confirmed the system meets drinking water standards.
Residents should take the following steps before consuming water in their home or using their water for cooking:
1. Flush all hot and cold water taps for five minutes.
2. Flush all hot water into bathtub or shower until it turns cold.
3. Remove all ice from any ice makers.
